A gun and 9,800 WY branded stimulant tablets were seized in His Hseng, Shan State yesterday morning.
Acting on a tip-off, local police members led by Police Sub-Inspector Maung Maung Hla from Hsi Hseng Myo Ma Police Post together with witnesses searched a vehicle driven by Maung Maung Oo of His-Hseng and seized 9,800 WY branded stimulant tablets weighing 10.88 grams worth K 14.7 million, a 9mm-pistol, four bullets and one hand grenade. Upon interrogation, it was revealed that the drugs were smuggled by Maung Maung Oo together with Sai Naw (a) Sai Nauk.
Action is being taken against Maung Maung Oo according to law by the police station concerned.
