Groundbreaking ceremony for construction of Dakyaing Creek Bridge held in Paingkyon

Paingkyon, 27 December

 

With an arrangement of the Department of Rural Road Development and Japan Infrastructure Partners (JIP), a groundbreaking ceremony for construction of Dakyaing Creek Bridge was held in Mongnine village in the town of Paingkyon, Hpa-an District, Kayin State this morning.

 

The occasion was presented by Kayin State Chief Minister Daw Nan Khin Htwe Myint, Speaker of Kayin State Hluttaw U Saw Chit Khin, State Minister for Planning, Finance and Municipal Affairs U Than Naing, State Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Saw Myint OO, officials from State Department of Rural Road Development and departmental officials. Then, the State Chief Minister gave remarks and the officials drove stakes at the precinct for the construction of the bridge.

 

With the aims of narrowing the gaps between rural and urban areas, bringing safe and convenient transportation to rural areas and upgrading the living standard of the rural people, JIP will conduct the bridge construction with the funds provided by Japanese Government and Japanese nationals.
