An event to hand over funds of Village Development Project to local people was held at the meeting hall of the Township Department of Rural Development in Paung Township, Mon State on 1 August.
First, an official from the Township DRD clarified the purposes of the provision of funds of VDP for local people. “With the aim of boosting the income of local people and their socio-economic status, funds of Village Development Project were disbursed to local people in the Township” he added.
Under this project, officials handed over Ks. 130.8 million to 250 members of village development project committee from seven villages in the Township in line with COVID-19 health regulations set by Ministry of Health.—Kyaw Oo
