A ceremony to hand over fund of Emerald Green Project was held at the Dhamayon of Taka Village in Katha Township, Sagaing Region this afternoon. The disbursement of loan is the fifth of its kind in the village.
At the event, an official from the township Department of Rural Development gave a speech and clarified the purpose of the project and explained rules and regulations of the emerald green projects to be abode by the rural people.
Afterwards, an official from the township DRD handed over K 56.6 million to members of village emerald green projects committee in Taka Village in the township.
Altogether 117 people - 106 people in agriculture business, three in livestock breeding business, four in trading business and four who will attend vocational school received loans.
Personnel from the township DRD disbursed loans of the project to members of village emerald green project committee in accordance with the rules released by Ministry of Health and Sports amid the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic.—Myo Win(Kyunhla)
