Fire drills were conducted in conjunction with a knowledge sharing event about the natural disaster at two local bazzars in Mogok Township, Mandalay Region yesterday morning.
The event was jointly organized by the Fire Services Department and the township development committee. At first, the commander of the township fire brigade disseminated knowledge about the risks of fire. Next, approximately 23 firefighters explained fire safety measures and demonstrated how to use fire extinguishers conducted the first aid drill by using three fire engines, water tankers and fire extinguishers when a fire breaks out in the area.
Officials from the township development committee, departmental staff and local people were involved in the simulation.—Phoe Ma Ma (Mogok)
