Free health care services furnished to remote areas in Mese Tsp.

Officials from Mese Township Public Health Department provided health care services to rural people in Taung Hlat village in Mese Township, Bawlakhe District, Kayah State yesterday.

The monthly health care services for rural people who reside in remote areas in the Township are being provided by the officials.

The village is 30 miles away from Mese and there are about 90 people who reside in 18 households.  Therefore, the medical team led by Dr. Aung Zaw Tun from the Township Public Health Department made a field trip to give health care services.  The expense for travel and meals is being provided by the International Rescue Committee (IRC), according to the Township Public Health Department.

A total of 28 patients received free health care services and children under two-year old, five-year old and pregnant women were vaccinated.
