Free eye care services offered in Kyunhla

The eye patients have been offered free eye care services at Sitagu Ayudana Hospital in Kyunhla Township, Sagaing Region starting from 19 May.

 


An eye specialist team led by Dr. Daw Mi Mi Khin from Sitagu Ayudana Hospital (Sagaing) provided medical checkups for 423 patients and performed eye surgeries for 61 patients from Kyunhla, Kanbalu, Kawlin, Teze, Pinlebu, Wetlet and Phoungpyin Township, according to a source from the information team of the Sitagu Ayudana Hospital.

 


Under the aegis of the Sitagu Sayadaw Ashin Nanissara and with the arrangement of the Stockholm World Peace Prize 2018 winner and founder of the IBEC-Myanmar U Sobita, members of the township management committee, departmental staff, town elders, volunteers from social organizations, donors, and local people participated in the activity that is the fifth of its kind in Kyunhla Township.

 


The Sitagu Ayudana Hospital (Kyunhla) was established in 2014. So far, 6,315 patients have been furnished with the medical check-ups and 1,246 patients have been performed eye surgeries.—Myo Win Nyo (Kyunhla)
