Free eye care services being offered in ChaungU

Under the aegis of Shwe Myintmo Sayadaw Bhaddanta Visuta, a free eye care services is being given to local people in ChaungU Township, Sagaing Region this morning by a philanthropic organization from Taiwan.

An ophthalmology team led by Professor Dr. Chan from Taiwan is offering eye care services and eye treatment to 1,053 eye patients from 17 to 19 March. This is the fourth time of giving a joint free eye care services to local people at Shwe Myintmo Eye Hospital by Taiwanese philanthropic organization named “Taiwan Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation” and Yadanar Hospital, said Dr. Hnin Tun Aung, an official from the Shwe Myintmo Eye Hospital.

           

“I would like to express thanks to the Shwe Myintmo Sayadaw, well-wishers, ophthalmology team and charitable organizations for offering eye care services,” said Daw Nyunt Yin, a 99-year old woman who received eye surgery.—Ei Ei Aung (IPRD)
