The 3rd free eye care services will be provided to local people in Mohnyin District, Kachin State starting from April 20 to 25 at Ponnya Shin Sakkupala Eye Hospital in Ponnya Shin Tawya International Meditation Center.
The free eye care services will be conducted by ophthalmologists from Yangon and those who want to receive eye care services can register at village and ward administrators offices or Ponnya Shin Sakkupala Eye Hospital from 17 to 19 April.
The eye test will be undertaken from 20 to 24 April and eye surgical operations will be conducted starting from April 23 to 25.
“The service is the third of its kind and the opening ceremony of hospital will be held on 20 April. Other free health care services will follow the eye care services. In these activities, doctors from Mohnyin Hospital and other specialists will take part” said U Aung San Oo, secretary of the organizing committee.
The Ponnya Shin Sakkupala Association has provided free eye care services to over 4,000 eye patients. The first event took place in April 2017 and the second one in April 2018.
