Shan State Minister for Lahu Ethnic Affairs U Yaw Thet met fire victims and presented relief supplies to them in Namtwoehtaung Village, Mongphyat Township in Eastern Shan State yesterday evening.
The Shan State minister together with his wife, Joint General Secretary of the Lahu National Development Party U Dar Wait, representatives from the Lahu National Development Party and departmental officials went to Namtwoehtaung Village where he donated humanitarian assistance to the fire victims.
He first checked out the houses which are believed to be torched by wildfire and encouraged the fire victims. Next, they provided Ks. 600,000, rice bags, blankets, clothing and household items to the six families of fire victims.—IPRD
