Hakha 10 January
A fire broke out in Myothit Ward in the town of Hakha at about 11:20 pm on January 9 and the fire which is believed to have been started by an overheated electronic heater.
Officials from Fire Services Department and local people extinguished the fire using fire engines and water tankers. The fire engulfed three houses and a man was burnt to death in the house fire. The fire victims were evacuated in the house of their relatives.
