A fire that broke out in Kwinkalin Village in Chaungzon Township, Mon State at about 12:00 pm destroyed a house, according to the Township Fire Services Department.
According to an investigation, the fire was thought to have started from the kitchen of U San Htoo Aung in the village.
Twenty firemen from the Township Fire Services Department rushed to the scene to fight the fire with the use of a fire engine and a tanker in cooperation with locals, and the blaze was successfully extinguished.
Fire totally destroyed the house, causing a loss of about K 1.29 million. The authorities pressed charged against U San Htoo Aung for his negligence.—Township IPRD
