A ceremony to release fingerlings into paddy fields was held this morning at a paddy field owned by U Nyunt Shwe in Kungyangon Township, Yangon South District, Yangon Region.
On the occasion, Township Administrator U Kyaw Kyaw Tun, departmental personnel, members of Township Maternal and Child Welfare Association, Women Affairs Committee, Township Red Cross Society and local farmers released 100,000 fingerlings into 200 acres of paddy fields.
With the aim to increase fish resources and family income, Department of Fisheries is releasing fingerlings into paddy fields, according to Township Department of Fisheries.
