A ceremony to release fingerlings into Shwetachaung creek in Madaya Township, Pyin Oo Lwin District, Mandalay Region was held on 28 May.
Officials from Regional Fisheries Department and departmental personnel released 100,000 of different kinds of fish species into the creek.
With the aim of enriching fisheries resources, the Department of Fisheries is conducting release of fingerlings into creeks, natural lakes, dams and paddy fields across the nation.
