Facebook has acknowledged that people around the world are experiencing outages to its apps and services. The company denies that its network is under cyber-attack and says it is working to fix the issue.
The world's largest social network operator says users have been getting error messages on Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram, or that the services have been malfunctioning for hours.
Website monitor Downdetector says the outage is taking place mainly in the US and Europe. The problem is also affecting users in Japan and Australia among countries.
Google's Gmail and Google Drive also experienced an outage on Wednesday.
