Ethnic excursion group visits Nay Pyi Taw

With the aim of enhancing friendship and understanding among ethnic people, the Ministry of Border Affairs arranged the excursion programme for the ethnic people from remote areas to visit Nay Pyi Taw for four days from 15-18 January.


As a part of the excursion programme, a 150-member excursion group comprising 30 each from the Kokang Self-Administered Zone, Kayah State, Kayin State, Rakhine State and Chin State arrived in Nay Pyi Taw on January 14, 2019.


Under the arrangements of Department of Development for Border Areas and National Races, the ethnic excursion group visited Nay Pyi Taw Buddha Gaya Thatta Thattaha Maha Bawdi Pagoda, Department of Agricultural Research, Yezin, Nay Pyi Taw, Yezin Dam and the Safari Park on 15 January. They then paid a visit to the Maha Setkya Yansi Pagoda and offered cash donation at the pagoda yesterday. They proceeded to the Mausoleum for Heroes (Nay Pyi Taw) and Defence Services Museum.
