The Information and Public Relations Department under the Ministry of Information organized a ceremony to compose essays and poems at its public library in Thandaunggyi Township, Kayin State on Saturday afternoon to hail the 72nd anniversary of the Union Day.
First, Daw Naw Lawmu, an official from the IPRD explained the purpose of the event. Nine participants took part in the poem composing competition while 16 contestants partook in the essay writing challenge. The award winners will be presented with prizes at the 72nd anniversary of the Union Day celebration.—IPRD
