Emergency medicine course opens in Lashio

An emergency medicine course was opened at the hall of the University of Lashio in Lashio, Northern Shan State this morning.

 

At the ceremony, Assistant Commissioner U Myint Sein delivered an opening speech before Pro-Rector of the university Dr. Yaw Han Tun made a supplementary speech. Next, a volunteer from Mandalay-based philanthropic association explained the purpose of the course. Course instructor Nathan Quick from the USA elaborated on practical and theoretical demonstrations. After the course is finished, the trainees will be presented completion certificates recognized by 25 countries.

 

The trainees from some charitable and social organizations in Northern Shan State will be given training by three course instructors during the10-day course.—Han Htay (IPRD)
