Electrification projects being conducted in Mongpyin Tsp.

Electrification projects are being undertaken in villages which are more than 10 miles far away from national grid by way of solar home system. Now, Mongpyin Township Department of Rural Development is conducting the installation of solar panels in villages in Mongpyin Township, Kengtung District, Shan State (East).

 

Local residents in four wards and 23 villages in Mongpyin Township get access to electricity starting from July, 2020. Seven villages in Panwine, Mongpuon, Mongman and Tarkaw village-tracts were provided 195 pairs of solar panels and 28 lamp posts were also set up in the villages. In addition, the solar panels were installed in a school and four religious buildings, according of Township DRD.

 

On 6 January, the officials from Township Department of Rural Development and departmental personnel inspected the installation of solar panels in Wunkat village in Mongpuon village-tract, Naungkhite village in Mongman village-tract and Wunsaut village in Tarkaw village-tract.
