A multiplier course on taking census and compiling voter’s list was held at auditorium of the General Administration Department in Kalay, Sagaing Region this morning.
The training course aims at helping people cast their vote without losing their right of voting. At the ceremony, Chairman of the district management committee U Khin Maung Cho made an opening speech and the township management committee chairman explained measures to be taken.
The 2020 general elections will be held based on the five criteria—freedom, fairness, transparency, credibility and public reliability—in order to hold a free and fair general election in accordance with the people’s desire, U Khin Maung Cho added.
The two-day training course is being attended by 180 trainees from the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health and Sports.—Shin Nay Min (Gangaw)
