A ceremony to present cash aid provided by the government to elderly people above 80 years old amid the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic was held at the meeting room of the township General Administration Department in the town of Kunhing, Shan State (South) this morning.
At the event, officials from the township Department of Social Welfare under Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement handed over a total of K 1.8 million to respective village-tract and Village administrators.
Village-tract and village Administrators will present K 30000 each to elderly people in villages and wards in the township. Under this cash aid program, 61 senior citizens will receive K 30000 each.
