Authorities confiscated 72 WY brand stimulant tablets weighing 726 grams from a man who was driving a motorbike in Hpa-an, Kayin State yesterday.
Acting on a tip-off, a combined team led by Police Sub-inspector Aung Myo Kyaw together with witnesses on 15 March searched Mya Win (a) Ei Suat on a motor cycle on Shukhinthar Raod, No 5 Ward, Hpa-an, and seized 72 WY brand stimulant tablets weighing 7.2 grams worth K 216000, K 106500 and a mobile phone from him.
Further Information led to the search of his house on Shukhinthar Road, No 5 Ward in Hpa-an and discovered marijuana weighing 726 grams worth about K 363000 hidden behind the toilet.
The authorities filed charge against Mya Win, 49, under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.—Min Thu/Tun Tun Htway ( Hpa an)
