Drugs seized in Bhamo, Waimaw, Naungcho Townships

Drugs seized in Bhamo and Waimaw Townships of Kachin State and Naungcho Township of Shan State, according to the Myanmar Police Force.

 

A combined team comprising members of Anti-Drug Squad raided the house of Naing Win in Aungthar Ward in the town of Bhamo, Kachin State at about 12:00 pm on March 27, and apprehended him and Yee Mon along with 1875 stimulant pills and 0.03 kilo of heroin.

 

In a similar incident, a combined team raided the house of Brannan in Ward-2 in the town of Waimaw, Kachin State at about 3:00 pm, and confiscated 5220 stimulant tablets in the house.

 

In addition, a combined team comprising members of anti-drug squad stopped and searched a TOYOTA NOAH vehicle driven by Han Nu accompanied by Ma Phaw Lu Kai Nu near Duhtawadi Bridge in Makyiyee Village in Naungcho Township of Shan State at 5:00 pm on 26 March, and seized 102000 stimulant tablets.

 

Action was taken against those offenders under the Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substances Law.—MNA
