A car overturned on the inter-village road between Letmyaung and Pyagyi village, some 6.5 miles northeast of Pyaloe police outpost in Aung Lan Township yesterday afternoon, according to the Township Police Force.
Upon information received, Police Inspector Nay Min Tun rushed to the scene where he was reported that a passenger bus driven by U Win Hlaing, 52, went backwards on an uphill road some 1.5 miles west of Pyagyi village and lost control before falling into a ravine.
U Win Hlaing died of injuries received while receiving medical treatment in Pyaloe Station Hospital.
Seven passengers out of 32 were transported to Pyay Township People’s Hospital while the rest, to Pyaloe Station Hospital and Anug Lan Township People’s Hospital. Action is being taken against the driver according to the law.— Thein Lwin ( Aung Lan)
