DRD-funded primary school 85 % completed

Wuntho, 24 April

Regional Lawmaker Daw Khaing Khaing Win and an official from the Department of Rural Development looked into progress for construction of a primary school in Kaungkwayt Village, Wuntho Township in Sagaing Region on 23 April.

The school facility measuring 60 ft. in length, 30 ft. in width and 12 ft. in height is being built with more than Ks. 20 million—Ks. 10 million of the Village Development Plan and Ks. 10 million contributed by donors and local people under the supervision of the village development committee and the project has been over 85 percent finished.

Upon completion, parents of students would relieve concerns as their offspring once went to school though paddy fields and a railway track, said a member of the village development committee.—Kyaw Myaing (IPRD)
