Developmental tasks gaining momentum in Thongwa Township

The township development committee plans build 32 box culverts and one rural bridge in Thongwa Township, Yangon Region in current fiscal year.

16 box culverts and one rural bridge measuring 40 ft. long, 18 ft. wide and 15 ft. high and connecting two lanes in Ward-8 have been built so far and three box culverts in Ward-5, Ward-9 and Ward-11 in are under construction.

The intention of infrastructure development is to facilitate road transport for local people and prevent them from outbreak of infectious diseases, said an official from the township development committee.—Ko Kyaw (Thongwa)
