The death toll of COVID-19 has risen to 327 with 14,885 confirmed cases in Pakistan, according to the data available on the website of the country's health ministry on Wednesday morning.
The figures showed that at least 26 patients died and 806 persons confirmed positive out of 8,530 tests conducted during the last 24 hours across the country.
According to the ministry, overall, 11,133 patients are under treatment in different hospitals while 3,425 have recovered completely, which is 23 percent of the total confirmed cases.
The country's eastern Punjab province remained the most affected region with 5,827 cases followed by the southern Sindh province with 5,291 cases.
The northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province stands third with 2,160 cases but it is leading with 114 deaths. At least 915 cases have been reported in southwest Balochistan province and 330 in north Gilgit-Baltistan region, and 297 in the capital Islamabad.
Punjab recorded 100 deaths, followed by Sindh where 92 infected people have lost their lives, the statistics said.
The ministry said that Pakistan has conducted 165,911 tests officially so far. However, these numbers of tests do not include those which were conducted by private laboratories.
