Nammatu, 18 April
A dead body was found in Nammatu creek near Mongsin village, Namatu Township, Kyaukme district in northern Shan state at about 2 pm yesterday, according to U San Lu, a resident of the village.
The victim was identified as Myo Kyaw Oo, 22, of Nammatu Township. Myo Kyaw Oo and his friends, totaling 18, visited “Pakekalay” waterfall near Mongtat village on 14 April.
According to his friends and visitors at the waterfall, Myo Kyaw Oo jumped into the waterfall and disappeared. The body of the victim was found four days later and sent to the mortuary in Nammaty town. — Township IPRD
