Construction works of rural road in Wuntho Township completed 85%

With the aim of ensuring swift flow of commodity and saving time and money, the Township Department of Rural Development is implementing a rural road in Thintaw Village in Wuntho Township, Sagaing Region, and all the projects have been completed 85 percent so far, according to an official from the Township Department of Rural Development.

The gravel type road measuring 3000 ft. in length and 12 ft. in width is being constructed with Ks. 10 million of DRD’s allocated funds in 2021-2022 FY.

Once completed, it will benefit 320 rural people from 54 households in the village, helping them transport rural products to the markets in a timely manner.

The Township Department of Rural Development implemented the development projects in 120 villages in Wuntho Township in 2017-2018 and 2020-2021 fiscal years. In addition, rural development works have been implemented in seven villages in the Township in 2021-2022 FY.—Hmwe Kyu Yin
