Construction works of rural road in Mabein Township completed 100%

With the aim of ensuring swift flow of commodity and boosting the socio-economic status of rural people, the construction works of rural road was implemented by Department of Rural Development in Khota Village in Mabein Township, Shan State (North).

 

A gravel type road measuring one mile long, 12 ft. wide and nine inches thick was constructed by private tender winning company starting from the second week of December last year with Ks. 36.06 million allotted by regional government. Now, all the projects have been completed 100 percent, according to U Naing Htet Aung, staff officer of the Township Department of Rural Development.

 

The road will benefit 289 acres of farmland of 403 local people from 89 households and helping them transport rural products to the markets in a timely manner.—Soe Moe Kyaw
