Concrete road opens to mark 79th anniversary of Armed Forces Day in Monghpyak Twsp.

A ceremony to open a concrete road to mark the 79th Anniversary of Armed Force Day, which falls on March 27, was held in Namhlauk Village in Monghpyak Township of eastern Shan State this morning. 

 

First, chairman of the Township Administration Council U Nyi Nyi Aung delivered an opening speech. Next, an official from the Township Department of Rural Development discussed matters relating to concrete paving work of road. Then, a member of village development committee spoke words of thanks to officials for opening the concrete road in the village on behalf of the villagers. This was followed by the presentation of certificate of honor to donors who contributed for the concrete road.

 

Afterwards, chairman of the Township Administration Council U Nyi Nyi Aung and members, and staff officer of the Township Department of Rural Development Daw Khin May Lwin cut a ceremonial ribbon to formally open the concrete road.

 

The concrete road measuring 1500 ft. in length, 12 ft. in width and 6 inches in volume was constructed by the Department of Rural Development at a cost of more than K 32.06 million in total. The road brings socio-economic development for local people. —Township IPRD
