Concrete bridge being built in Shanywathit, Kayin State

The Department of Rural Development is undertaking developmental works in rural areas across the nation. Now, a concrete bridge is being built in Hitpana village in the town of Shanywathit, Hpa-an District, Kayin State during 2020-2021 FY. 


The bridge measuring 15 ft in length, 12 ft in width and 9 ft in height is being constructed with K 9,888,000 funded by community-driven project starting from December 24. Now, the construction has been completed by 80 percent. 


The construction is being conducted under the guidance of officials from the Township Department of Rural Development. Upon completion, it is expected to contribute to improving health, education and transportation for local residents.
