A ceremony to provide compensation to farmers for damaged crops in Namtu Township, Kyaukme District, Shan State (North) was held at Township General Administration Department yesterday.
On the occasion, MP Daw Nan Kham Aye of Namtu Township Pyithu Hluttaw, MP U Tin Hlaing of No.1 Constituency of State Hluttaw, MP Daw Nan San Hum of No.2 Constituency of State Hluttaw, Township Administrator, officials from Township Department of Agriculture and departmental personnel provided K 107,500 to 13 farmers for damaged crops due to flooding. The compensation was provided to farmers at a rate of K 10,000 per acre.
