A collective tree-planting activity took place in the compound of a monastery in Hlaingthaya Township, Yangon Region yesterday.
With the aim of keeping the environment green, maintaining soil and temperature, MP U Myat Min Thu of No. 2 constituency of the regional Hluttaw, Police members, members of the township firefighters and members of social organization led by U Zay Ko Ko participated in the activity and jointly grew saplings including Singapore cherry trees, Inkyin trees, Mahawkani trees and Kantkaw trees in the compound of the monastery in the township.—Mya Thandar Win, IPRD
