An event to provide cash aid to people whose homes became relocated due to the danger of riverbank erosion was held at the meeting room of General Administration Department in Salin Township, Magway Region yesterday afternoon.
Under the supervision of chairman of the Township Administration Council U Nay Lin Naing and officials from the Township Department of Disaster Management provided over Ks. 10.03 million for purchasing rice and construction materials to 93 victims of riverbank erosion from nine villages in Salin Township.
A total of 351 family members from nine Villages in Salin Township were evacuated to safer places as the danger of the Irrawaddy riverbank erosion on July 14 this year. Maung Lwin(IPRD)
