Kyaikmaraw, 10 March
A traditional boat race to commemorate an inauguration of a tarred road which was built on a self-reliant basis was held in Peinhnegon Village in Kyaikmaraw Township in Mon State this morning.
The boat race was held on the Attayan River with eight teams participating. A prominent Buddhist monk in the village and concerned officials presented prizes to the winning teams.—Cho Myat Myat Htwe (Kyaikmaraw)
