A ceremony to open a basic sewing course was held at a hall of Wetlet Township Department of Rural Development in Shwebo District, Sagaing Region yesterday morning.
With the aim of creating job opportunities for rural women and improving family income, the Department of Rural Development opened a basic sewing course.
At the ceremony, MP U Maung Maung Win of No.1 Constituency of Regional Hluttaw gave opening remarks and Acting Township Administrator U Ye Lin Oo also gave remarks.
Then, Assistant Director from the Township Department of Rural Development also clarified the purpose of the opening the course and urged the trainees to study carefully in the course.
A total of 15 women nearby villages in the township are attending the course and it will last about one month.
