Basic life-saving techniques disseminated in PyinOoLwin

The closing ceremony of a basic first aid course was held at the hall of the training school of the Settlements and Land Records Department under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation in PyinOoLwin, Mandalay Region this morning.

Firstly, Regional lawmaker U Aung Min delivered an address. The Myanmar Red Cross Society have been engaging in philanthropic works for more than 80 years and first aid plays a crucial role in the MRCS’s activities, he said. A trainee also spoke words of thanks. Altogether 71 trainees throughout the township attended the six-day training course. Local authorities presented completion certificates to the trainees and had a documentary photo taken together.

“The training course is very beneficial to us because we can now help others by using the first aid techniques. I would like to express my special thanks to the course instructors who contributed their valuable basic life-saving skills to us,” said a villager. –Zaw Myo Htike (PyinOoLwin)
