Bago minister meets coronavirus suspected patients under quarantine in Toungoo

Tounggoo, 24 April

Bago Region Minister for Kayin Ethnic Affairs Naw Pwe Sae held a meeting with members of the district-level COVID-19 control and prevention committee at the meeting room of the General Administration Department in Toungoo on 23 April.

The minister also presented 6,000 masks to the committee members. Next, she inspected construction of an office measuring 60 ft. in length, 40 ft. in width and 28 ft. in height and belonging to the Department of Disaster Management.

Accompanied by the Pyithu Hluttaw Lawmaker U Khin Maung Than, Regional legislators U Moe Ma Kha and U Aye Min Win, the minister looked round a middle school and an education colleague that were turned into the facility quarantine centers where she met people suspected of coronavirus.

She called on the people who are being placed under quarantine to abide by the rules imposed by the local government and gave words of encouragement to them.—Tin Soe (Bago)
