Ayeyawady trounces Sagaing 6-1 in MNL Week-11

Ayeyawady United yesterday struck a big victory over Sagaing United 6-1 in a Myanmar National League Week-11 match played at Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon. 


Head coach U Myo Hlaing Win’s Ayeyawady United yesterday lined up with Captain Thiha Zaw, Rapheal Success, Kyaw Zin Lwin, Captain Thiha Zaw, Thann Htet Aung and Lwin Moe Aung. In contrast, head coach U Zaw Lin Tun’s Sagaing United used key players Captain Toe Sat Naing, Friday Barnabas Akanmidu, Soulemanou Mandjombe and Htet Zaw Tun.


Ayeyawady players were brave enough to take full domination over opponents from the start of the match. Ayeyawady United got an early goal just after the kickoff, and the goal was beautifully scored by its foreign player Rapheal Success. The goal produced more energy for the team’s players, and Thann Htet Aung scored the second goal for the Ayeyawady United at 16 minutes. The first half ended with two goals leading by Ayeyawady United. Sagaing United launched their open attack at the very beginning of the second half while Ayeyawady were still dominating the remaining minutes of the second half with stable play. Sagaing United got a consolation goal at 48 minutes, and the goal was scored by Sagaing’s striker Patrick.


By using the power play and accurate passing, Rapheal Success again scored the third goal for his team at 52 minutes. Next, Win Naing Tun scored the fourth goal at 72 minutes, and the goal raised the tempo of their team. Again Thiha Zaw scored the fifth goal at 79 minutes, and Kaung Myat Thu scored the sixth goal at 81 minutes to end up the match. In the final whistle, Ayeyawady United’s players celebrated their sweet 6-1 victory over Sagaing United.
