Local authorities in Mohnyin yesterday seized a suspected drug pusher along with 295 stimulant tablets on Nammachi-Mawhan road near Mawhan cemetery in Mohnyin Township, Kachin State.
Acting on a tip-off, policemen led by Police Capt. Khin Maung Lwin from Mohnyin Anti-Drug Squad-3 together with witnesses intercepted a motorbike driven by Ko Aung Thaik on Mawhan-Nammachi road in the Township and seized 295 stimulant pills weighing about 29.5 grams.
The authorities filed charge against Aung Thaik, 27, son of U Soe Lwin under Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substances Law.—Ni Toe
