Anti-aircraft gun shell found in Meiktila Township

An anti-aircraft gun shell was found from a location, south of Kyaukoh Village in Meiktila Township, Mandalay Region on 20 April.
    

 

A local woman identified as Daw Pu, 60 years of age from Kyaukoh Village found the explosive device believed to be an anti-aircraft gun shell near her farmland and informed the village administrator about the discovery of the weapon. Upon receiving the phone information from the village administrator, the police rushed to the scene to check out the shell measuring 11 inch in length and 1.25 inch in circumference.
    

 

The police squad led by Police Inspector Maung Maung Lin from Shanmangel regional police station seized the shell and handed over it to security personnel from No.911 Military Engineering Regiment.—Bo Bo (Mahlaing)
