Ambulance donated to local medical association in Mahlaing

Mahlaing, 21 April

A ceremony to donate an ambulance to a healthcare association was held in conjunction with a merit sharing event at a religious building in Panai Village, Mahlaing Township, Mandalay Region on 19 April.

Firstly, the congregation received the “Five Precepts” from the patron of the association and the presiding Sayadaw of Panai Shwe Kyaung Bhadanta Pannita. Next, the well-wishers presented documents relating to the ambulance to a village administrator. The chairman of the association returned a certificate of honour and spoke words of thanks. Afterwards, the merit sharing ceremony followed.

The medical association named “Dhamma Gawthaka” has been offering free healthcare services and funeral services to local people from nearby villages.—Aung Htay (Mahlaing)
