44 returnees to be quarantined in Myaungmya for 21 days

44 people returning from Thailand arrived in Myaungmya, Ayeyawady Region via Myawady, a border town in Kayin State on 10 June.
    

Upon arrival in Myaungmya, the returnees were welcomed by Deputy Commissioner U Thaung Tin Htwe, Chairman of the township level COVID-19 control and prevention committee Township Administrator U Kyaw Swe, and members of local social organization. They got medical check and provided food by staff from the Department of Health.


The returnees included three each from Hinthada, Ingapu and Kyonepyaw, 18 from Myanaung, four from Pantanaw and Danubyu, and one each from Bogale, Pathein, Mawlamyinekyun, Kyaunggon, Thabaung, Nyaungdon, Zalun, Shwethaungyan and Ngaputaw Townships.


They would be placed under 21-day observation at a monastery-turned quarantine center and all returnees are doing well, said an official from the Department of Public Health.
