The 2nd Walking Thingyan Festival around the Minglar Shan Kan at Yanaung Ward-2 in Pyinmana will be held on a grand scale.
In addition, Bo Tauk Htein and Bo Taya roads and an archway will be illuminated and decorated with umbrellas. Furthermore, an entertainment pandal with Myanma traditional orchestra troupe sponsored by Soe Electric Foundation, Myanmar Traditional Thanakha pandal, eight water throwing pandals, 40 family water throwing pamdals and Satuditha (free-foods) pandals will be included in the festival. The CCTVs will be installed along the roads for public safety, according to the organizing committee.
On the very first day of Myanmar’s New Year, members of Sangha will be offered meals as a first time of New Year and New Year’s Dhamma ceremony will be conducted on the Bo Tauk Htein Road.
