A combination team annihilated poppy fields in Naunglai village-tract in Hopong Township, Pa’O Self-Administered Zone, Shan State (South) on January 4.
The combination team including members of Township Police Force, members of Anti-Drug Squad-25, members of Township Fire Services Department, officials from Township General Administration Department, Township Department of Agricultural Land Management and Statistics and Forest Department eradicated 42 acres of poppy plantation.
In Hopong Township, a total of 208 acres of poppy fields were destroyed during 26 and 31 December 2021.
