Two police officers have been shot to death in Honolulu on Hawaii's Oahu island.
The local Star Advertiser newspaper reports that the incident occurred on Sunday morning at a residential district near Diamond Head -- one of the popular tourist destinations in Hawaii.
A local TV network has broadcast footage showing multiple houses in the area on fire and firefighters battling the blazes.
Local media report that the man who fatally shot the officers with a handgun barricaded himself inside a house after setting fire to it.
Details relating to the shooting are still emerging.
