150 acres of mechanized farmland handed over to Zalun farmers

A ceremony to hand over 150 acres of mechanized farmland implemented in Pattan Village-tract with the Union Budget in the current fiscal year took place in Zalun Township, Ayeyawady Region yesterday.

On the occasion, Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Hla Kyaw and Regional Minister for Agriculture, Livestock, Natural Resource and Environmental Conservation U Tin Aung Win delivered addresses. Next, Director-General of the Department of Agricultural Mechanization U Soe Hlaing clarified matters relating to reclamation for 150 acres of mechanized farmland and the Lower House MP for Zalun Constituency U Aung Min on the emergence of mechanized farmlands.

           

Afterwards, the Lower House lawmaker presented certificates of honour and a farmer representative spoke words of thanks. Then the deputy minister and his entourage looked round the booths displayed by government departments and private companies.—Wai Yan (Zalun)
