12 people hurt in warehouse fire in Kalay Twsp

At least twelve people were slightly injured in a fire at a warehouse for oil in Kalay, Sagaing Region, the Ministry of Home Affairs said.
    

The fire broke out at about 5:20 p.m. on 20 August while gasoline was being transferred to oil barrels from an oil tanker by a group of people. Twelve people sustained burn wounds in the fire which was extinguished by security personnel, policemen, firefighters and locals with the use of 15 fire engines and water tankers.
    

The blaze destroyed one warehouse, and 40 gasoline barrels and a 54-year old man responsible for the warehouse is being questioned over fire negligence by the local police.
