OUTSTANDING students from Myeik District for the 2025-2026 academic year returned to My­eik yesterday after taking part in study tours to outstanding students’ camps.

 

They were warmly wel­comed back at Myeik Airport by the Taninthayi Region Edu­cation Officer, officials, students and parents.

 

During the welcoming ceremony, the outstanding stu­dents were greeted by Region Education Officer U Win Naung, district and township education officers, school heads, teachers, officials, students and parents.

 

Afterwards, in the airport hall, the regional education of­ficer and officials met the stu­dents. The regional education officer delivered a congratula­tory speech, and the students shared their experiences from the study camps.

 

The students from Myeik District included two Grade-9 students, two Grade-10 stu­dents, two Grade-11 students and one Grade-12 student.

 

They had visited out­standing students’ camps in PyinOoLwin, Inlay Lake, Ng­wehsaung and Nay Pyi Taw, and returned to Myeik yesterday by air from Yangon.

 

The students represented Taninthayi Region in competi­tions held at the study camps. In the quiz competition, Maung Yan Paing Oo, a Grade-9 stu­dent from BEHS No 3 Myeik, won first prize. — Khaing Htoo (IPRD)/MKKS
